Vikings Unleashed

The main event. A Premier Hatchet tournament where every thrower makes the bracket. Seed your way in, then fight it out in single elimination for the Vikings Unleashed title.

Viking Mayhem

Embrace the chaos! Viking Mayhem is our ultimate skills competition: nine games across three formats that test every part of your game. It's all Premier scoring, and it's all in the name of fun. Make sure you bring two axes.

Games 1–3: What the Frigg?
Each throw uses two axes. Throw your first axe at 1.5 rotation and leave it in the board. Then step back and throw your second axe at double rotation. Both axes are scored as normal.

Games 4–6: Loki's Doubles
The god of mischief compels you. Opponents play against each other while throwing at the same board at the same time, as if you were doubles partners. The catch is that both axes must stick for both of you to score. If one axe falls and the other stays in, the axe left standing scores double points and the fallen axe scores a double zero. Foot faults will be strictly enforced. Both throwers must start their throw together, and long pauses or deliberately mistimed throws will see both players penalised.

Games 7–9: Ambi Clutch Berserker
Two axes, one in each hand, and clutches all over the board. Every clutch is worth 5 points if you touch it. The 7-point Premier clutches unlock on the last throw as normal.

The Final
Only the top 8 make it through to a double elimination final, and this is where THE WHEEL decides your fate. Before each match, the wheel is spun to choose the format: What the Frigg?, Loki's Doubles or Ambi Clutch Berserker. You'll need all three skills to take the title.

Good to know

Throw one tournament or throw both, it's up to you! Vikings Unleashed is a MANIAX event and is not part of the IATF circuit. The event needs a minimum number of registrations to go ahead. If it doesn't proceed, all registered players will be contacted and fully refunded. Entry constitutes agreement to the MANIAX and IATF codes of conduct.
