BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
BOOKINGS FOR GROUP PACKAGES
The following Terms and Conditions apply to the Bronze Group Package, Silver Group Package, Gold Group Package, Platinum Group Package, Diamond Group Package and Bucks and Hens Parties.
- A 30% deposit is required for group bookings to confirm your requested time slot.
- Your remaining balance is required within the following timeframes:
- For Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Group Packages, and Bucks and Hens Parties, your remaining balance is required to be paid five (5) days prior to the scheduled event.
- For Diamond Group Packages, your remaining balance is required to be paid fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled event.
- Transfer of date requests within the following timeframes will incur a loss of deposit:
- For Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Group Packages, and Bucks and Hens Parties, five (5) days prior to the originally scheduled date.
- For Diamond Packages, fourteen (14) days prior to the originally scheduled date.
- Cancellation of Group Package bookings (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond) and Bucks and Hens Parties are non-refundable.
- Refunds will not be provided for a decrease in booked participants for Group Packages (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond) or Bucks and Hens Parties. In the event of a decrease in booked participants, the food cost for those guests will be forfeited. Please note, all paid for food will still be served on the day.
The remaining prepayment will be issued as a credit and reallocated towards any additional MANIAX food, beverage or merchandise items, to be used on the day of the booking. Credits can not be transferred to a future date or booking. - If your group size is to decrease below the minimum lane size within 5 days of your event, you will be charged the minimum charge for lanes in the original booking. This will also mean you keep the extra lanes and extra AXE-perts for a better experience and more time hurling hatchets!
- Lane minimums:
- 1 lane: 7 participants
- 2 lanes: 16 participants
- 3 lanes: 31 participants
- 4 lanes: 46 participants
- 5 lanes: 61 participants
- 6 lanes: 76 participants
- Bookings for full venue hire are non-refundable and non-transferable to food, beverage or merchandise.
- Additional participants are subject to lane availability. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for increases in participants that result in additional lanes.
- No deductions to inclusions in any packages are permitted.
- Valid ID may be required.
- Package prices may change, advertised prices are not guaranteed.
- Bookings may be cancelled if Terms & Conditions are violated.
- MANIAX Axe Throwing reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at our discretion.
BOOKINGS FOR ONE HOUR SESSIONS
The following Terms and Conditions apply to the Standard Session, Date/Mate Night, Family Pass, Forty-Buck Chuck and 2-4-1 Monday.
- Full payment must be made at time of booking to secure the reservation.
- Bookings for the Standard Session, Date/Mate Night, Family Pass, Forty-Buck Chuck and 2-4-1 Monday are non-refundable.
- Refunds will not be provided for no shows. These can be reissued as a credit or date transfer.
- Requests to transfer the date and time of your booking are subject to availability. Original booking terms and conditions, including those relating to cancellations and amendments, will continue to apply to any rescheduled bookings.
- Valid ID may be required.
- Package prices may change, advertised prices are not guaranteed.
- Bookings may be cancelled if Terms & Conditions are violated.
- MANIAX Axe Throwing reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at our discretion.
Additional Family Pass Terms and Conditions
- The Family Pass must include at least one child aged between 11 and 17, and at least one adult aged 18 or older, with a maximum of two adults aged 18 or older. The Family Pass is exclusively available for family groups. MANIAX reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to cancel tickets and transfer booking for purchasers who are found not to be families.
- The minimum age for children to participate in axe throwing is 11 years. Guests aged 11-17 must have waivers signed by a parent or guardian, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Children aged 10 and under are welcome to come along and watch the action at no cost.
Companion Card Terms & Conditions
- A valid Companion Card must be presented on arrival.
- The companion may participate in the axe throwing session free of charge when accompanying the cardholder.
- The Companion Card holder and their companion must meet all MANIAX safety requirements and follow instructions from staff at all times.
GIFT VOUCHER TERMS & CONDITIONS
The following Terms and Conditions apply to Gift Vouchers purchased online or in-venue.
- If the total of your booking/purchase is less than the value of your gift voucher, you will be able to use the remaining balance for future bookings/purchases.
- If the total of your booking/purchase is greater than the value of your gift voucher, you must provide payment to cover the remaining balance of your transaction via credit card or debit card.
- Gift vouchers will expire 36 months from the purchase date.
- Gift vouchers are non-refundable.
- Gift vouchers may not be used to purchase other gift vouchers.
- Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash or transferable.

- MANIAX Axe Throwing reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at our discretion.
ENTRY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
WAIVER POLICY
- All participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to participation in any activity at MANIAX.
CLOTHING POLICY
- All participants are required to wear closed toed shoes.
- In the case a participant is not wearing suitable footwear, gumboots will be provided.
- We do not allow clothes with offensive images or inappropriate advertising.
MINIMUM AGE FOR THROWING
- The minimum age for a participant in Axe Throwing at MANIAX is 11 years at time of throwing for all MANIAX venues.
- Children under this age are welcome to come along too but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times whilst on the premises.
- Children aged 11 - 17 years of age at time of throwing must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years who must complete a waiver on behalf of the minor.
ALCOHOL AND DRUGS POLICY
- It is a condition of entry at MANIAX that participants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. All participants and spectators will be required to sign a waiver with a statement to that effect.
- All MANIAX venues have a licence to serve alcohol, each venue has its specific conditions about when participants can consume alcohol onsite.
- BYO is not permitted at any of our venues under any circumstances.
- MANIAX Abbotsford, MANIAX Melbourne CBD, MANIAX Northbridge, MANIAX Sydney Inner West, MANIAX Newcastle and MANIAX Knox have a licence to serve alcohol. At these venues, participants are not able to consume alcohol until they have finished throwing axes as part of our licence restrictions.
- MANIAX Brisbane CBD, MANIAX Newstead, MANIAX Gold Coast, MANIAX Fremantle and MANIAX Canberra have a licence to serve alcohol. At these venues, participants’ alcohol consumption is limited during their session as part of our licence restrictions. If you become intoxicated during your session at these venues, you will no longer be able to participate.
BEHAVIOUR POLICY
- You must follow the instructions of the venue staff at all times.
- MANIAX is a friendly environment and whilst we encourage you to get competitive with your friends, we have zero tolerance for aggressive, anti-social, abusive or otherwise unsafe behaviour. Any spectator or participant showing signs of this type of behaviour will be asked to leave the premises immediately, without refund.
- You are responsible for using our facilities and equipment correctly. If you are not sure how to use any of our equipment, please ask our staff before you use it.
- Note that you will be responsible for any damage that you cause through a wilful act or negligence.
- If your axe throwing coach identifies non-compliance with our behaviour/alcohol/drug policy prior to or during a session, this person/s will be required to leave immediately with no refunds given. All booked participants will be charged in this instance and it is at discretion of the remainder of the group as to whether they continue their session or also wish to leave.
VENUE RULES
- No food or drink is to be brought onto the premises at any time, with the exception of birthday cakes.
- Pets are welcome but must be under supervision by their owner at all times. Aggressive or anti-social behaviour exhibited by your pet will require their immediate removal. You will be responsible for cleaning up after your pet.
