BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS FOR GROUP PACKAGES

The following applies to all Group Packages for groups of 7+: Urban Viking, Ragnar's Battle, Thor's Mighty Skål, Ultimate Valhalla Feast, Ragnarok Bucks & Hens (13+ players) and Odin's Team Challenge.

Deposit

• A non-refundable 30% deposit, based on your selected package, is required to confirm your booking and secure your time slot.
• Any additional items added to your booking are paid in full at the time they are added to the booking and are not covered by, or refundable under, the deposit.

Final numbers & payment

• We'll always try to accommodate extra guests - the more Viking warriors, the better - but this is subject to availability at the time of booking.
• Your final guest numbers and full remaining balance are due seven (7) days before your booking. This is your final numbers lock.
• It is your responsibility to confirm your final numbers before the lock. If we do not hear from you, the numbers on your booking at the lock are treated as final, and your remaining balance will be payable.
• Dietary requirements and menu selections are also due 7 days prior. If they are not provided in time, we will select on your behalf.

If your numbers go down

• Refunds are not provided for a decrease in participants after the final numbers lock. Your booking is confirmed and charged at your locked-in numbers.
• Because your lanes and AXE-perts are reserved specifically for your group, the value of any reduced or absent participants stays with your booking on the day. It isn't refunded, issued as account credit or a gift card, moved to a future date or booking, reallocated to food, beverage or merchandise, or applied as a discount.
• Any food already paid for will still be prepared and served on the day. Any extra food and beverage can be purchased in-venue, payable on the day.
• You keep every lane and AXE-pert reserved for your booking, so a smaller group simply means more space and more throwing time. Our lanes and staffing are allocated to your confirmed numbers, which is why the booking price holds regardless of how many people attend on the day.

Cancellations & date transfers

• Cancellations are non-refundable within 30 days of the event.
• One date transfer is permitted if requested more than 7 days before your booking, subject to availability. The original terms (including deposit and payment timeframes) carry across to the new date. The new event date must be within 3 months of the original event date.
• A date transfer requested within 7 days of your booking will incur loss of the deposit.

• Full venue hire bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Other group terms

• Additional participants are subject to lane availability. Please contact us as soon as possible to advise of increased numbers to ensure we can accommodate them on the day.
• No deductions to package inclusions are permitted, and inclusions have no cash or credit value.
• Valid ID may be required.
• Package prices may change; advertised prices are not guaranteed.
• We reserve the right to amend, withdraw or change package availability and inclusions at any time without prior notice.
• Bookings may be cancelled if these Terms & Conditions are violated.
• MANIAX reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at our discretion.

‍BOOKINGS FOR ONE HOUR SESSIONS 

The following applies to Viking Hour, Express Viking, Date/Mate Night, Ragnarok Bucks & Hens (2–12 players) and Family Pass.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
• Bookings are non-refundable.
• If you're not able to make your session and don't let us know in advance, it's treated as a no-show. No-shows are non-refundable and aren't eligible for a refund, account credit, a gift card or a date transfer.
• You may transfer the date and time of your booking once if you give at least 48 hours' notice, subject to availability. The original terms (including those on cancellations and no-shows) continue to apply to the rescheduled booking. The rescheduled booking date must be within 30 days of the original booking date.
• Valid ID may be required.
• Package prices may change; advertised prices are not guaranteed.
• We reserve the right to amend, withdraw or change package availability and inclusions at any time without prior notice.
• Bookings may be cancelled if these Terms & Conditions are violated.
• MANIAX reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions at our discretion.

ON-THE-DAY CHANGES — WHAT WE CAN AND CAN'T DO 

To keep pricing fair and consistent for everyone, our venue teams follow one set of rules at every venue:

• Prepaid value for reduced participants, no-shows or cancellations is not converted to gift cards or account credit, and is not carried forward to a future visit.
• Bookings are not discounted or price-adjusted on the day to account for people who did not attend.
• Anything outside these terms is handled only by the venue manager, at their discretion, and is recorded. It is a goodwill gesture in genuine circumstances — never an automatic entitlement, and it cannot be requested or promised in advance.

Additional Family Pass Terms and Conditions

• The Family Pass must include at least one child aged 11–17 and at least one adult aged 18+, with a maximum of two adults aged 18 or older. It is available for family groups only. MANIAX reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to cancel tickets and transfer bookings for purchasers found not to be families.
• The minimum age for axe throwing is 11 years. Guests aged 11–17 must have waivers signed by a parent or guardian, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Children aged 10 and under are welcome to watch at no cost.

Companion Card Terms & Conditions

• A valid Companion Card must be presented on arrival.
• The companion may participate free of charge when accompanying the cardholder.
• The cardholder and companion must meet all MANIAX safety requirements and follow staff instructions at all times.

GIFT VOUCHER TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following applies to gift vouchers purchased online or in-venue.

• If your booking or purchase is less than the value of your voucher, the remaining balance can be used for future bookings or purchases.
• If your booking or purchase is greater than the value of your voucher, you must pay the balance by credit or debit card.
• Gift vouchers expire 36 months from the purchase date.
• Gift vouchers are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash or transferable.
• Gift vouchers may not be used to purchase other gift vouchers.
• Gift vouchers are issued only as a genuine purchase. They are not issued in place of a refund for reduced participants, no-shows or cancellations.
• Standard MANIAX terms apply and must be accepted at the time of booking or redemption. MANIAX reserves the right to change these terms at our discretion.

ENTRY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Waiver

• All participants must sign a waiver before taking part in any activity at MANIAX.

Clothing

• All participants must wear closed-toe shoes. If suitable footwear is not worn, alternative footwear will be provided. Limited sizing available, so It's best to come prepared!
• Clothing with offensive images or inappropriate advertising is not permitted.

Minimum age for throwing

• The minimum age to throw is 11 years at the time of throwing, at all MANIAX venues.
• Younger children are welcome to come along but must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
• Guests aged 11–17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18, who must complete a waiver on the minor's behalf.

Alcohol & drugs

• It is a condition of entry that participants are not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. All participants and spectators sign a waiver to that effect.
• All venues are licensed. At MANIAX Abbotsford, Melbourne CBD, Northbridge, Sydney Inner West, Newcastle and Knox, participants cannot consume alcohol until they have finished throwing, as a licence condition.
• At MANIAX Brisbane CBD, Newstead, Gold Coast, Fremantle and Canberra, alcohol consumption is limited during the session. Anyone who becomes intoxicated during their session can no longer participate.
• BYO is not permitted at any venue under any circumstances.

Behaviour

• You must follow the instructions of venue staff at all times.
• MANIAX has zero tolerance for aggressive, anti-social, abusive or unsafe behaviour. Anyone showing this behaviour will be asked to leave immediately, without refund.
• You are responsible for using our facilities and equipment correctly — if unsure, ask staff first. You are responsible for any damage caused by a wilful act or negligence.
• If a coach identifies non-compliance with our behaviour, alcohol or drug policy before or during a session, the person(s) will be required to leave immediately with no refund. All booked participants are charged in this instance, and it is at the discretion of the rest of the group whether they continue or also leave.

Venue rules

• No outside food or drink, with the exception of birthday cakes.
• Pets are welcome but must be supervised at all times.
